Met predicts light snowfall at high access, heavy rains in parts of Jammu and Kashmir

The meteorological department on Monday estimated light snowfall at the high reach of Jammu and Kashmir, including installment, Sinthon Top, Margon Top, Zojila, Gumri Axis, Upper Axis of Pahgam, Mr. Amarnathji Kev and some high access.

It said that light rains are expected at many places between 25 and 26 August, with heavy rains in separate places in separate places in Jammu, Rasi, Udampur, Samba, Katua and Rajouri districts.

Heavy rainfall has also been predicted on the southern parts of Poonch, Ramban, Doda, Institute and Kashmir Division, as well as thunder and ugly winds.

Officials have advised people in weak areas to be cautious about the risk of flash floods, landslides and waterlogging during wet spell.
