Passengers on a flight to Orlando were evacuated after a “strong odor” was detected on the plane. The incident occurred Wednesday night as Frontier Airlines Flight 1759 prepared to take off from Charlotte Douglas International Airport, Fox Business reported. A video circulating on social media shows passengers jumping out of the Airbus A321neo aircraft via an emergency slide at Charlotte Douglas Airport. The media further stated that there were 226 passengers on the flight and they left the aircraft through the aerobridge and evacuation slides.
A passenger was injured while going down the slide and was taken to hospital.

Frontier Airlines told Fox Business News on Thursday: “While flight 1759 was boarding at Charlotte Douglas International Airport yesterday (Wednesday) evening, a strong odor was detected throughout the aircraft. As a precaution, the captain issued an evacuation notice. “.
“Passengers exited the aircraft via the aerobridge and evacuation slides. Preliminary reports indicate that no apparent smoke or fire was observed,” the airline added. “All passengers will be reaccommodated on alternative flights.”
The airline apologized to passengers and said it was investigating the cause of the incident.
One passenger told the Queen City News they first smelled an odor on the plane before the lights went out.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) told Fox Business that the crew “reported the smell of smoke in the cabin” and would investigate the incident.
