A student preparing for a medical examination for school entrance in Kota town in Rajasthan was allegedly gang-raped by his classmates, police said on Thursday.
Officials arrested four defendants in connection with the alleged crime that occurred on February 13.
The survivor, a minor, was said to have befriended a classmate from Uttar Pradesh. Zee Media quoted Kota ASP Uma Sharma as saying that he called her from his apartment where he and three friends allegedly gang-raped the girl.
Thousands of students from across India come to Kota every year to prepare for engineering and medical entrance exams.
