UK weather: Met Office issues snowfall warning for Friday, warning of travel disruptions

The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for snow for much of Scotland on Friday.

It lasts from 3am to 9am, meaning some people’s morning commute may be affected.

The warning extends from around Stirling northeast to south of Inverness.

The Met Office said: “Snowfall may cause some travel disruption on Friday morning, particularly on high altitude routes.”

Delays are said to be possible on roads, buses and rail.

Separate rainfall warnings are in place for the Glasgow and Edinburgh areas from 2am to 9am on Friday.
