Financial hurdles have delayed the construction of a new building at Nadiga Sangam. In a recent update, Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin stepped in to resolve the issue, donating Rs 1 crore to complete the remaining work. Nassar, Vishal, Karthi, Karunas and other Nadigar Sangam members expressed their gratitude while accepting his generous donation.

Actor Nassar, who heads the Nadigar Sangam, initiated the construction of a new building in Chennai a few years ago. Unfortunately, the project faced financial obstacles and stalled. As the Sangam prepares for a major fundraiser, actor, producer and minister Udhayanidhi Stalin steps in to support.

Today, Udhayanidhi donated Rs 1 crore to the association management. According to a report in May 2022, a source said that 40% of the work is yet to be completed and an additional Rs 30 crore is needed to complete it.

Sharing a post on Twitter, Vishal wrote, “Dear Udaya, As a friend, producer, actor and now Sports Minister in the Government of Tamil Nadu, I sincerely thank you for your contribution to Your contribution to the building work of our South Indian Artists Association and your willingness to help in any way through the government at the earliest. A lovely gesture indeed. God bless”.

In 2010, actors’ group Nadigar Sangam announced plans to demolish the existing building and construct a new one in T Nagar, Chennai. In the same year, Radha Ravi leased the land to R Sarathkumar on a long term basis. The land was then valued at Rs 150 crore.

On the professional front, Nassar rose to fame with films like Fair Game, Anyanyan, Baahubali: The Beginning and Baahubali 2: The Conclusion. The actor was last seen in Captain Miller. Nassar also has several films in the pipeline, including “Raja Bheema”, “Thug Life”, “Train”, “Gangs of Godavari”, “Thiru Manikkam” and “Sathuranga Vettai 2” among others.

At the same time, Stalin made his debut with Oru Kal Oru Kannadi. He has since starred in several films including “Idhu Kathirvelan Kadhal”, “Nannbenda”, “Manithan”, “Saravanan Irukka Bayamaen” and “Ippadai Vellum”. Apart from action, Stalin also represents the Chepauk-Thiruvallikeni constituency as a member of the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly.
