TV host Andy Cohen apologizes for Kate Middleton conspiracy theory

Kate Middleton recently announced that she is battling cancer.

TV host and producer Andy Cohen has apologized for spreading conspiracy theories about Kate Middleton’s health before she announced she was battling cancer.

Speaking on SiriusXM’s “Andy Cohen Live,” Cohen said: “We’ve been off the air for a week, and I just want to say that the news about Kate Middleton breaks my heart. I think there were people on Sky News who were talking throughout the conversation. Call me ‘idiot’ and they’re right,” he added.

“I wish I had shut up. We are all praying for Kate and King Charles.” It was revealed in February that King Charles was being treated for an unspecified type of cancer.

Cohen issued an apology after commenting on a viral video purportedly showing the princess on a date with husband Prince William. Responding to the video, Cohen commented: “That’s not Kate.”

Late night host Stephen Colbert also mocked rumors about the princess’ absence, suggesting it could be related to Prince William’s alleged infidelity.

“Kate Middleton’s disappearance has thrown the entire kingdom into turmoil. Now, internet sleuths are speculating that Kate’s absence may be related to her husband and future King William of England having an affair,” he said. So, I think we all know who the alleged other woman is. Say it with me – Marchioness of Cholmondeley – what a beautiful name! “

Andy Cohen further fueled the affair rumors by suggesting that Prince William’s behavior mirrored that of his father, King Charles, who had an affair with Queen Camilla while he was married to Princess Diana.
