Barack Obama has become more involved in President Joe Biden’s campaign amid “serious concerns” that his rival, Republican nominee Donald Trump, could win in November, New York Times the report said.

A report released Wednesday cited an unidentified senior aide saying the former president would “make do” with Biden as the Trump-Biden race is expected to be a close one.

The official also said Obama was “constantly” worried about losing to Trump, who still has not accepted the results of the 2020 election.

Two-term President Obama has been in regular contact with Biden, White House chief of staff Jeffrey D. Zients and senior campaign aides, the Times reported.

It was reported that Obama on Friday CNN, met with Biden for several hours at the White House. This is a “working visit”.

At the meeting, the former president praised the current head of state for his tough State of the Union address and emphasized the importance of health care in attracting voters. Obama believes that promoting Biden’s re-election is an “all-out” effort.
