PM Modi says Left and Trinamool ignore basic needs of people of Bengal
Siliguri:
Prime Minister Modi stepped up his attacks on the Trinamool Congress on issues of corruption and dynastic politics, saying that India’s opposition party groups such as the TMC and the Congress only care about the development of their own families.
Addressing a massive rally in Siliguri, the Prime Minister made a loud appeal for the defeat of the Mamata Banerjee-led party in Bengal, saying: “The path to oust the corrupt TMC government from West Bengal will be opened through the Lok Sabha polls.”
“I see the mothers of our country struggling for basic amenities. That is why I emphasize on sanitation, free electricity, bank accounts and running water to make life easier for our mothers and sisters. But here, first of all, the Left Front The TMC government then ignored the basic needs of the people of the state,” he said.
He alleged that the TMC has been looting the state and creating fake job cards to loot central funds under MGNREGA.
Attacking the Opposition on the issue of dynastic politics, PM Modi said, “TMC only cares about its nephews while Congress only cares about the royal family.”
