Frank and Moyes formed a strong relationship during their punditry role at the European Championships two summers ago.
This experienced pair went viral after they were caught laughing in the background of a podcast being recorded gary linekerBut despite being rivals for 90 minutes at Everton’s new stadium on Sunday, they would put it to one side soon after full-time.
“I would 100 percent go in and share a beer or a glass of red with David after the game,” Frank revealed.
“We always do that. I appreciate it. Some do, some don’t. I always invite coaches, so they’re welcome.
“I think it’s important. I think it’s a wonderful tradition. We’re all the same. There’s just a few of us who really understand each other.
“So, even though we might be a little bit, how can you say, tense on the touchline, at the end of the day, we understand each other.”
The former Brentford boss first feuded with Moyes in the summer of 2020, with his admiration for the Scottish coach turning into a genuine friendship.
Frank laughed: “I like my red wine too and he’s a good drinker too. He likes his beer and red wine too. He’s a very nice guy and I feel fortunate to know him.”
“And the first time I met him we were in the Championship and we played West Ham in a friendly. Or had I met him before? I don’t know. But he was different.
“Then we started seeing each other in different areas off the pitch at different events and things like that or for dinner with other coaches and just for mutual good respect.
“And yes, we worked the Euros and we had some nice evenings!”
After a good start to life at Spurs, either side have gone on a five-game winning streak during the October international break.
richardson Had started the campaign in strong form, but his last goal was on 21 September.
Ahead of Richarlison’s return to Everton, Frank backed him to improve his record of five goals against his former employers when asked if it could bring him back to life.
“Yeah, hopefully. I think Richardson has started the season very well and, touch wood, he’s in a good place,” Frank said.
“I can’t remember a spell for so long where he didn’t get anything, so huge praise from the medical people and sports performance people who have got him to such a good place. And he himself has been working hard on it as well.”
The Spurs will be without captain Cristian Romero (adductor) and Destiny Udogi (knee) and seven other players for the trip to Hill Dickinson Stadium.
