This is what the Microsoft OneNote app looks like on Apple Vision Pro

Microsoft OneNote is available for Apple Vision Pro on Tuesday. The cloud-based note-taking app will now support Vision Pro’s augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) environments, providing users with an immersive experience. The app will offer hands-free note taking using voice mode as well as typing via a virtual keyboard and finger tracking sensors. Notably, earlier this year, Zoom released an app that’s compatible with mixed reality headsets, supporting Apple’s Persona feature as well as scalable virtual meeting rooms.

Microsoft product manager Greg MacEachern announced the news at a conference blog post”, he said: “Today we are launching the newest member of the OneNote family on Apple Vision Pro[..]You can plan trips, practice daily habits, and create/edit task lists, all in spatial reality – the OneNote experience on Apple Vision Pro helps you stay productive no matter where you are. “

Like other apps designed for Apple’s mixed reality headsets, the OneNote app will also support AR and VR environments. This means users can open an app floating in the center of the room (in whatever size they want), or open it in a virtually created space. The app will also support voice and virtual keyboard. In addition, Microsoft said that many of the features available in the iPad version of the app will also be available to Vision Pro users.

However, the new platform has no other unique features. Users will be able to use all standard features such as writing memos, taking single-page notes, and creating digital notebooks. OneNote also allows users to highlight text and add tags to notes for easier detection. In addition, you can add a password to your notes to make them more secure.

Microsoft’s OneNote also provides sharing functions and cloud synchronization functions. However, some features are only available to its paying subscribers. The tech giant said more platform-specific features will be included in the future. Some of the features include insertion from camera and photos, Copilot integration, two-factor authentication, and more. There is currently no timetable for adding these features.
