Srinagar, July 12: In response to the post of Ms. Mehboba Mufti on the social media platform on the announcement of resolution by the PDP on the announcement of the holiday on July 13, the honorable speaker, the statement made by Mahbooba Free, clearly as advocate of the Advocate of Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, has been denied and said. Advocate Abdul Rahim said that the proposal submitted by Mr. Wahid-ur-Remon Para was admitted in Jammu during the budget session 2025-26 held in the month of March.
Instead of Abdul Rahim, the honorable speaker said that the Assembly Secretariat received a total of 111 proposals from 34 Honorable members and out of which 87 resolutions were admitted for voting and the rest were rejected as per the rules. Mr. Wahid-ur-Remon Para, the Honorable Member also presented four resolutions and two of which were recruited, which includes the proposal “July 13 was declared as an official holiday, official holiday to remember the sacrifices of protesters against the autocratic emperor forces”. Shri Wahid-ur-Remon Para was accordingly informed through the Assembly Secretariat Bulletin Number LA1353/Legn/2025 dated 14/03/2025.
As per the prescribed rules, according to the relative predecessor of the resolutions of private members, in the presence of 7 honorable members on 25 March 2025, J&K was determined by separate voting in terms of rules of business rules and rules of business in the Legislative Assembly and 14 resolutions were listed in the house of 7 and 9 April 2025. Accepted, did not have a safe place during the voting process. Therefore, the process was completed according to the rules of the process.
He further stated that the post of speaker is a symbol of fairness and in any case it can be assumed that the proposal has been correctly rejected by the speaker, which is not factually correct.
