Ladakh Lieutenant General (LG) Kavinder Gupta on Tuesday appreciated Operation Mahadev, saying that it was the result of the government’s zero tolerance policy that the accused was shot dead in the deadly Pahgam attack.
Gupta said, “Stone Pelting has ended. Millions of people who will attend the funerals of terrorists have ended. It is the result of the central government’s zero-assessment policy that the accused of Pahalgam has been shot and killed …” Gupta told Annie.
Earlier in the day, Amit Shah in his address confirmed that three terrorists involved in the murder of citizens were abolished by security forces during Operation Mahadev.
“In a joint operation Mahadev, the Indian Army, CRPF, and the Jammu -Pulis Police have neutralized three militants who were involved in the Pahgam terror attack,” Shah said while addressing the lower house.
He said, “Innocent citizens were killed in front of their families to ask about their religion. I condemn this barbaric act. I express my sympathy to the families who lost their loved ones,” he said.
The Home Minister also informed the Lok Sabha that Suleman, the top commander of Lashkar-e-Tabiba, who was involved in the Pahalgam terror attack, was among the three militants killed by security forces during Operation Mahadev in Jammu and Kashmir recently.
“… in Operation Mahadev, Suleman alias Faizal, Afghan and Jibran-these three terrorists were killed in a joint operation of the Indian Army, CRPF and Jammu Police. Suleman was a commander of a-Toiba commander of Lashkar-e-Toiba. Citizens have been abolished in Basaron Valley …” Shah said during the second debate on Operation Sindoor in the Lok Sabha.
Shah was also praised by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his speech on both Operation Sindoor and Mahadev.
In a post on X, PM Modi said that security operations played an important role in eliminating “cowardly terrorists” in India.
“In this notable speech in the Lok Sabha, Home Minister Amit Shah ji gave important details about Operation Sindoor and Operation Mahadev, who played an important role in eliminating cowardly terrorists.
