The new Audi RS5 Avant will premiere globally in 2025, here’s everything you need to know

German carmaker Audi is preparing to significantly enhance its product lineup in 2025. To achieve this goal, the brand has launched the new Audi RS5 Avant, which will make its world premiere next year. However, the specific date has not yet been determined.

It is reported that the car will be equipped with the company’s first sporty plug-in hybrid system. The technology will mark the beginning of the performance segment’s electrification journey.

About Audi RS5 Avant

The upcoming Audi RS5 will be the successor to the V6-powered RS4 and bear a new name. This is done in line with the company’s new strategy, which has decided to give odd numbers to gas-powered cars and even numbers to electric cars.

Engine and power

The car will be powered by a 2.9-liter V6 engine that will generate additional power through an electric motor. It will produce a maximum output of over 443.84 bhp and 600Nm, which is better than the current model. In the meantime, the next generation will continue to provide additional safety through the use of Volkswagen’s trusted MLB platform.

road appearance

Talking about the road appearance and design, it will come with seriously flaring arches and aggressive five-spoke sports wheels with a sweet chrome touch on each wheel. The car will feature full LED headlight units, LED DRLs, a stylish grille at the front and a coupe-style design at the rear.

Once launched, the new RS5 Avant will compete with BMW’s M5 and Mercedes-AMG’s C 63 PHEV.
