He said that the opening of high-speed rail in southern India will drive development in the region and create thousands of job opportunities.

Over the next five years, his government will work to connect Kerala’s heritage with the highway network and the Vande Bharat train network to make it more global.

This is Prime Minister Modi’s sixth visit to the state. He last came to Kerala on March 19 and held a huge road show in Palakkad district.

On March 15, he attended a public meeting in Pathanamthitta town where he solicited support for the NDA candidate contesting in the southern constituency of Kerala.
