Tecno will launch PolarAce imaging system at MWC 2024

The 2024 Mobile World Congress (MWC) will kick off in Barcelona on February 26, and many brands will showcase their latest trends and innovations in the mobile and telecommunications fields. Transsion Technology, a subsidiary of China Transsion Holdings, announced earlier this month that it would showcase an AR game console, robot dog and Pova series of smartphones at the event. Now the brand has confirmed that it will also launch a new “AI enhanced” imaging system called Tecno PolarAce at MWC. The company will launch the Tecno Megabook T16 Pro 2024 Ultra laptop at the event.

The AI-enhanced imaging technology is said to enable advanced video shooting and will debut in the upcoming Tecno Camon 30 series. Tecno’s PolarAce system will be unveiled on February 27, along with Tecno’s Megabook T16 Pro 2024 Ultra.

The latest PolarAce imaging system is designed to address the limitations of traditional SoCs in delivering superior video and current solutions, the Transsion Holdings subsidiary said. The latest technology is said to eliminate the limited full-scene HDR capabilities of current imaging solutions.

Earlier this month, Tecno announced that it would launch a new Pova phone, robot dog, flagship laptop and AR gaming kit at MWC. The company’s first Windows AR gaming handheld device, called Pocket Go, combines AR glasses and a handheld device. In addition, the Tecno Pova 6 Pro 5G smartphone will also make its world premiere at this event. The event will also showcase the company’s future artificial intelligence and augmented reality technology, Universal Tone technology, new concepts and more.

Tecno is expected to launch its first rollable phone, the Phantom Ultimate, during the event. The brand showed off its Phantom Ultimate prototype with a rollable display in September 2022.
