Technical error in Danish missile, major shipping strait closed

The Danish navy said on Thursday that a missile could be launched at any time due to a technical error. This forced Danish authorities to close an airspace and warn ships of the possibility of unexpected attacks, according to a report. CNN Report. The Danish Armed Forces said a Harpoon missile aboard the HDMS Niels Juel frigate suffered a technical error during mandatory testing. The Danish Armed Forces said in a statement that the ship’s missile’s boosters were activated and could not be switched off, adding that experts were rushing to the scene to prevent any untoward incidents.

“It is possible that the missile was launched and flew several kilometers away before the booster failed,” the statement said.

The military also said that the missile was launched, but only the booster rocket was activated, so there was no danger that the rocket would not be able to lift it into the air and reach the father.
