After Falcon 9 takes off, its first stage will return to Earth and land vertically on the Of Course I Still Love You drone ship stationed in the Pacific. The landing will mark the 15th successful recovery of this special booster and demonstrates SpaceX’s commitment to reusable rocket technology.

After the booster returns, Falcon 9’s upper stage will continue to ascend and put 22 Starlink satellites into designated orbits. Approximately 62 minutes after liftoff, the satellite will be deployed, contributing to SpaceX’s ambitious goal of building a massive constellation covering the global internet.

This launch is Falcon 9’s 30th flight in 2024 and the 20th flight dedicated to expanding the Starlink megaconstellation. SpaceX has deployed more than 6,000 Starlink satellites and continues to revolutionize global internet connectivity.

Astrophysicist and satellite tracker Jonathan McDowell said that of the 6,077 Starlink satellites launched so far, 5,610 are currently operational. This shows that SpaceX has made significant progress in advancing its satellite network and providing Internet access to underserved areas around the world.

As SpaceX advances its Starlink plans, the company remains at the forefront of space technology innovation. Stay tuned for the latest news on upcoming launches as SpaceX continues to push the boundaries of space exploration and satellite communications.
