Sofia Vergara expresses desire to be a ‘fun’ grandmother in the future

Sofia Vergara recently confessed that she wants to be a fun-loving grandmother someday.

In a new interview with PeopleThe modern Family “I think I’ll be a fun grandma,” said the alum, who is mom to her only child.

“On weekends, he leaves his dog at my house,” the 51-year-old man commented.

“And I used to drop him off at my mom’s house on the weekends so I could at least go out sometimes,” Sofia said.

Elaborating on how close she is to her son cook The actress said, “It’s great that I had him at a young age because now I’m about to turn 52 and he’s 32.”

She added, “I wish I was older sometimes because I would be more mature, more ready to be a mother, but that’s what I got and that’s what happened.”

However, Sofia told the outlet, “It’s fun because I grew up with my son.”

“It changes you and it’s very rewarding and also gives you a lot of headaches,” he said.

Discussing not having more kids in her seven-year marriage with ex-husband Joe Manganiello, Sofia explained, “There are things in life that may seem like good ideas, but they’re not.”

“I was already a mother. I know what it means to be a good mother or to try to be the best mother you can be, and that takes a lot of sacrifices, takes a lot of energy,” she added.
