He said that out of the 16 AIIMS, six in Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Jodhpur, Patna, Raipur and Rishikesh are fully operational. He told his superiors that apart from the 16 functional AIIMS, they are located in Rajkot (Gujarat), Vijaypur (Jammu), Madurai (Tamil Nadu), Avantipola (Kashmir), Six AIIMS at Rewari (Haryana) and Darbhanga (Bihar) are in various stages of operation. house.

In the northeast region, the AIIMS at Guwahati has been set up and operational, Mandaviya said, adding that “the government has not yet approved the proposal to set up a new AIIMS in 2022-23”.
