Fulfilling the promise made to the people of Amethi to build family ties with her constituency, Federal Minister Smriti Israeli has become a constituent of Amethi.

According to Congress representative Vijay Gupta, Smriti Israeli was found in Medan Mawai village in Gauriganj After a house, apply to become a voter. She is now a voter in the village, he said.

Smriti Irani considers Amethi as her family. He said she built her own residence here and lived with the Ameti family.

As the house was being built, she began the process of making herself an Amici electorate. Mr. Gupta said the formalities were now complete.

He said that Union Minister for Women and Child Development and Minority Welfare Smriti Israeli has become a voter from polling station No. 347 of Medan Mawai village in Gauriganj parliamentary seat, which falls under Amethi parliamentary constituency.

On February 22, 2024, Smriti Israeli walked into her newly built house in Maidan Mawai Village.

The Bharatiya Janata Party has announced the Hizbul-e-Islami Party as the party’s candidate for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. In 2019, Ms Irani caused uproar when she defeated former Congress president Rahul Gandhi by about 55,000 votes.

Congress has not announced a candidate from Amisi so far. It is not yet clear whether Rahul Gandhi will contest from the seat.

Polling in Amethi is scheduled for May 20 in the fifth phase.
