Tamil star Sivakarthikeyan has started shooting for his upcoming film, tentatively titled SK23, under the direction of veteran filmmaker AR Murugadoss. The project is his 23rd film and the shooting started five days ago with a puja on February 14. Three days after the auspicious puja, there was a festive atmosphere on the sets of SK23 as Sivakarthikeyan celebrated his 39th birthday on February 17 with the cast and crew. The photo of the actor cutting a birthday cake along with co-star Rukmini Vasanth and director AR Murugadoss has gone viral, capturing the joyous atmosphere on the sets.

The images also showcase a set decorated with balloons, enhancing the celebratory atmosphere of Sivakarthikeyan’s special day. The highlight of the celebrations was the biryani party organized by the cast for everyone involved in the production. In these heartwarming snaps, Sivakarthikeyan himself serves biryani to the crew. “SK23” marks Sivakarthikeyan’s first collaboration with AR Murugadoss, known for directing films like Thupakki and Ghajini. In the film, Rukmini Vasanth, who is critically acclaimed for her role in “Sapta Sagaradaache Ello”, plays the female lead alongside Sivakarthikeyan. Given Rukmini’s rising popularity after the box-office success of her Kannada films, the new collaboration between her and Sivakarthikeyan holds great promise.

Moreover, Sivakarthikeyan’s fans got an extra gift on his birthday, the title of his upcoming Rajkumar Periyasamy project is Amaran. The film’s trailer video has already started attracting attention online.

In the trailer, Sivakarthikeyan plays the late Major Mukund Varadarajan, the commander of the 44th Rifles Cheetah Company of the Indian Army. The gripping 90-second trailer shows the Major preparing for a dangerous counter-terrorism mission amid rising tensions in the war on terror. In April 2014, Major Mukund died during a battle with militants in Shopian, Kashmir. He was posthumously awarded the Ashok Chakra, the country’s highest peacetime gallantry honor, in recognition of his exemplary gallantry and sacrifice.
