Ruturaj Gaikwad’s side had all the bases covered and it was clear that Rachin Ravindra was ready for a platform of 46 off 20 balls, leaving Shivam Dube to unlock his beast mode with 51 off 23 balls.
During this period, Gaikwad himself kept the balance with 46 off 36 balls while Chennai’s 206 for 6 was a tough total in every sense of the word. Titans could only reply 143/8 with Chahal (2/28 in 4 overs), Mustafizur Rahman (2/30 in 4 overs), Tushar Deshpande ( 2/21) and Mathisha Patialana (1/29 in 4 overs) tightened the noose on the Titans batsmen for one.
There was an interesting moment in the match when Shubman Gill chose to bowl after saying he wanted to bat.

Chennai Super Kings put in a stellar performance in Tuesday’s IPL match, outsmarting the Gujarat Titans by 63 runs. When asked to bat first, CSK put on a superb batting display, posting a challenging 206 for six. In response, GT could only score 143 for 8 in their allotted 20 overs.
Earlier, Shivam Dube (51 off 23 balls), Ruturaj Gaikwad (46 off 36 balls) and Rachin Ravindra (46 off 20 balls) all slammed quick scores. Sameer Rizvi (14) also makes a surprise cameo, while Daryl Mitchell (24) also contributes.
For GT, Rashid Khan (2/49) took two wickets while Sai Kishore (1/28), Spencer Johnson (1/35) and Mohit Shah Knights (1/36) took one each.
Sai Sudharsan chased the total with 37 off 31 balls but that included David Miller (21) and Wriddhiman Saha ( 21) Inside, no one can stay longer at the end.
