Ryan Reynolds and Shawn Levy are more than just colleagues as they film highly anticipated project, Deadpool and Wolverine.

“Ryan and I have become very close friends,” Levy told people magazine Thursday during CinemaCon.

When asked how much time the two spent together, the 55-year-old director replied: “A lot.”

“That’s more time than I’ve spent with any male friend since high school,” he added, noting that the two live “half a block apart” in New York City.

“So, it’s all intertwined – which is very convenient for two guys who work as hard as we do.”

Levy also revealed that their mutual friend and “prophet” Hugh Jackman foresaw their close friendship while filming the 2011 film. Real Steel Starring Jackman.

“Hugh said, ‘No matter what, if you ever meet Ryan Reynolds and work with him, you’ll never stop,’” Levy recalled of that moment in 2010.

He continued, “I met Ryan on a movie that we didn’t end up making together — I’ll never name it — and we just got along very easily,” adding that it ” embodies” their 2021 goals Free man.
