Shakira gives insight into Gerard Pique’s ‘messy’ split

Shakira takes another dig at ex-boyfriend Gerard Pique’s cheating scandal in her new album.

The Colombian singer releases her new album, Woman, stop cryingon March 22, 2024.

It’s her first new album in seven years and follows her much-publicized split from the former Spanish footballer.

according to Mirrorin her song titled Shakira: Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 53. The Waka Waka singer joined Argentinian DJ Bizarrap to express her displeasure with Gerard and her new partner Clara Chia Marti.

The lyrics say, “I’m too big for you, that’s why you hang out with people like you.”

In another song translated in Spanish, Shakira sings: “This is for me to humiliate you, chew and swallow so it doesn’t sting, even if you cry or beg me, I won’t come back Come to you.”

The song also has a line: “I understand it’s not my fault they criticize you, I just make music, I’m sorry I splashed you.”

Surprisingly, the 46-year-old singer separated from Gerard in June 2022, who was accused of being unfaithful to the singer.

The former couple have two sons together: Milan, 11, and Sasha, 9.
