Shahid Kapoor reveals Priyadarshan dubbed for his ‘Chup Chup Ke’ without telling him: ‘Whose voice was that’

Shahid Kapoor’s career has come a long way. The actor has created many classic roles on the screen and left a deep impression on the audience. These include his role in Chup Chup Ke. He was seen pretending to be a deaf and mute boy. But there is some interesting information you might know. The voice we hear says that Jabba Jabba is not the voice of Shahid Kapoor, and the actor himself doesn’t know it. He only found out after watching the movie. Yes, you read that right, he recently revealed this as well.

The Indian Express mentioned that during the promotions of his film Jersey with Mrunal Thakur, Shahid played an interesting clip where he answered questions and comments from his fans. One of the comments read: “Can’t believe this is the same guy who once performed ‘Jabba Jabba’.” In response, Shahid revealed: “If you didn’t know, that ‘Jabba Jabba’ voice is not mine. Mine The reaction was the same as the audience, because when I saw the movie, I was a new guy, so, you don’t get a lot of attention. He did it without telling me.”

The actor continued, “Priyadarshan directed the film and he used to do dubbing etc. in Chennai. He took a person from there and asked them to do ‘Dabba Dabba’. So, when I watched the film, I was like “Whose voice is that? ” Everyone was like “Oh, he’s so funny!” “But yeah, ‘It’s not me!'”

Notably, “Chup Chup Ke” also stars Kareena Kapoor, Neha Dhupia, Suniel Shetty, Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Shakti Kapoor, Om Puri and Anupam Kher.
