According to the Ukrainian Air Force, the Russian military launched seven missiles at Ukrainian targets from the Belgorod region and the Black Sea on April 20.

Ukrainian air defenses destroyed two Dagger guided air missiles, the Ukrainian Air Force said, adding that Ukraine also shot down three Russian surveillance drones.

In recent weeks, Russia has significantly increased the number of missile and drone attacks on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure, causing massive civilian casualties and widespread damage, amid dwindling Ukrainian air defense systems and munitions stockpiles.

At the same time, the Russian Ministry of Defense stated that its air defense systems shot down 50 Ukrainian drones in eight regions of Russia on April 20.

26 drones were shot down in the Belgorod region, 10 in the Bryansk region, 8 in the Kursk region, 2 in the Tula region, Smolensk, Ryazan, Kaluga and Moscow Each region has one.

Belgorod Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov wrote in a telegram that a fire caused by falling debris killed two people in a village in the city of Belgorod.

Ukraine has not yet commented and the claims could not be independently confirmed.
