Moscow:
Russia’s FSB security service said on Saturday that the perpetrator of a deadly attack on a Moscow concert hall had “contacts” in Ukraine and was trying to flee there, state news agencies reported.
The state-run TASS news agency quoted Russia’s Federal Security Service as saying: “After the terrorist attack, criminals intended to cross the border between Russia and Ukraine and have appropriate contacts with the Ukrainian side.” Russia’s Federal Security Service announced the arrest of 11 people in connection with the attack.
Russian investigators say “terrorists” used “flammable liquids” to set fire to the concert hall after carrying out a shooting spree that left more than 90 people dead.
Russia’s Investigative Committee, which investigates major crimes, said of Friday’s attack: “Terrorists used flammable liquids to set fire to a concert hall where there were spectators, including injured people.”
