Russ Cook has revealed the origin of his nickname “The Hardest Old Man”.

The 27-year-old from West Sussex truly earned the title after completing the grueling challenge across Africa.

It took him 352 days to complete the mammoth task, covering more than 16,000 kilometers, taking more than 19 million steps, and crossing 16 countries, all while raising money for charity.

Cook crossed the finish line in Tunisia on Sunday, April 7, but long before that he was known as the “hardest old man.”
