Indian cricket team captain Rohit Sharma has revealed that he will not be spending time with his Mumbai Indians teammates during the ongoing IPL 2024 home matches. In a recent interaction, Rohit said that he stays at home when there is a match at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Whenever there is a team meeting, he arrives an hour early. Apart from this, he revealed that he is spending time with his family and commuting from his home to the ground. “I actually stayed at home. The last four games that Mumbai Indians played here (Wankhede), I stayed at home. Just went an hour before our team meeting. It was nice, a little different. , but good,” Rohit said on the Club Prairie Firepodcast.

Earlier, Rohit also opened up about the impact of the rules in the IPL and how he believes it will ultimately have a negative impact on young all-rounders.

“I really feel that it hinders the development of all-rounders because ultimately cricket is played with 11 players rather than 12 players. So I’m not a big fan of affecting player rules because you get so much out of the game But as far as cricket is concerned, I feel the inability of guys like Washington Sundar and Shivam Dube to bowl is not a good thing for us (India) and I’m not sure what you can do about it. What, but I don’t like it,” Rohit said on the Club Prairie Fire podcast.

“It’s fun, though, because there are 12 players to choose from, whoever the impact player is, and you can see how the game is going and make changes based on what you need and how the pitch is performing. If you’re hitting the ball well And don’t lose too many wickets, you can add a bowler so you can choose to have 6-7 bowlers, you don’t need extra batsmen as many of the previous teams are batting It’s good that you hardly see No. 7 or No. 8 coming to bat,” the right-handed batsman added.
