Rihanna recently admitted that returning to the fashion industry gave her the chance to “rediscover” herself.

Talk to Bbritish columbia news Earlier this week, at her collaboration party with Puma in London, umbrella The hitmaker revealed that fashion became the least of her concerns when she became a mother.

Rihanna, who has two young sons with A$AP Rocky, said: “When I was pregnant for the first time, I thought I could wear heels all the time.”

“But the second pregnancy, you’ve got a little kid, you’ve got a belly, it’s winter, you’ve got a coat, a baby bag. You’re like, heels? Well, maybe not,” the songstress recalled.

“That’s why my comfort style is more creative,” Rihanna said.

“After having my second baby, I got so comfortable that I just wore robes, pajamas and sweatshirts. Now I’m playing around again. Now I’m really interested in my clothes,” the songstress explained .

Rihanna noted that returning to the spotlight and dressing up in public allowed her to rediscover herself.

The singer mentioned that she was able to “mentally give myself space to approach my wardrobe and create things.”

“When you have kids for a while, you think [fashion] is the stupidest…it’s literally the least important thing,” the songstress noted.

Rihanna noted, “It helps you as a woman and as a mom, and that’s important to us.”

Elaborating on why she decided to buy maternity clothes, Rihanna told the outlet, “I approached it like I approach anything else in the fashion industry. I just wanted to do things my way. I just wanted to always sew it up and join me own style”.

However, the singer added, “I really refuse to buy maternity clothes. I think as long as they fit, they fit. It makes me challenge myself to be smart about my style.”
