Republic Day 2024 Parade: How to book tickets online and offline, parade timings and where to watch live streaming on January 26

Republic Day 2024: India celebrates Republic Day to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India. An elaborate Republic Day parade is organized on Rajpath (now known as Dutta Path) in New Delhi. During this parade, India not only showcases its military might but also presents informative tableaux based on different states. This year’s chief guest is French President Emmanuel Macron. Republic Day celebrations will start at 9.30 am. Millions of people watch the live telecast of the parade on TV.

Republic Day Parade tickets are priced between Rs 500 (reserved ticket), Rs 200 and Rs 20 depending on the seating area. Tickets are open for booking from January 10.

Tickets are not required for children under 5 years of age.

Republic Day 2024 Parade: How to buy tickets online

step 1: Visit the official web portal of Defense Ministry www.aamantran.mod.gov.in. Login or create a new account.

step 2: Fill personal details like name, date of birth, mobile number etc. You will receive an OTP on your registered mobile number, and use it to authenticate your account.

step 3: Select the option ‘Republic Day Parade’ from the list of options like FDR (Full Dress Rehearsal), Republic Day Parade, Republic Day Parade and Beating the Retreat.

step 4: Provide participant information by filing identity proof using government issued identity cards like – PAN Card, Aadhar Card, etc.

Step 5: Complete your purchase by making online payment.

How to buy tickets offline

You can buy Republic Day tickets offline from Delhi Tourism Development Corporation (DTDC) counters, India Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) travel counters and departmental sales counters within Delhi. Apart from this, you can also buy tickets from the booths of Sena Bhawan, Pragati Maidan, Jantar Mantar, Shastri Bhawan, Sansad Bhawan Reception Office and Government of India Tourist Office located at Janpath.

Note that the Government of India Tourist Office is closed on Sundays and the Parliament House Reception Office is closed on weekends and holidays.

To purchase a ticket you will be asked to fill in a form with your details. You will also be asked to present an identity card and a photocopy of the identity card, so make sure to take them with you.

Where to watch the parade online and on TV

The Republic Day Parade is telecast live on Doordarshan channel. You can also stream it online on Doordarshan’s official YouTube channel or Press Information Bureau (PIB) website.
