CNN-News18 has accessed a copy of the order imposing death penalty on 15 PFI activists convicted for the murder of RSS activist Ranjith Sreenivasan, detailing the deadly attack in December 2021.

A copy of the order called it an “unusual political murder” and noted that the attack on Sreenivasan was “sequentially targeted at parts of the body that under normal circumstances even a single blow would be enough to cause death”.

The copy further states that exposing the lower body shows an element of perversion.

The court said the brutality of the attack on one person, planned by 12 people together with three others, was evident from the scene where parts of a skull and a tooth were scattered on the ground.

Crime was planned, victim never provoked to be charged: court

The attack on the defenseless victim was premeditated, the victim never provoked the defendant and the crime was premeditated, the court ruled, adding that the only mitigating factor, the defendant’s age, was not balanced by aggravating circumstances. Already pointed out.

“Crime Committed in the Comfort Zone”

Most importantly, the court said, the heinous crime was committed within the comfort zone of the victim, i.e. in his home, where he was naked in front of his mother, wife and minor children. It clearly shows the cruelty of crime.

On December 19, 2021, the state secretary of the OBC Morcha of the BJP was brutally attacked by PFI activists at his home in the presence of his family and was allegedly killed.
