New Delhi:

After learning about the death of Sarabjit Singh’s killer, actor Randeep Hooda said karma catches up even through unknown people. Mr Hooda analyzed Singh’s character in the 2016 biographical drama Sarbjit.

Unidentified gunmen on Sunday killed Amir Tanba, the mastermind behind the 2013 killing of Sarabjit Singh in Lahore’s Kot Lakhpat jail.

Amir Tanba was seriously injured when two unidentified motorcycle gunmen opened fire outside his residence in Islampura, Lahore.

Dambo Amir’s killing was seen as a “revenge killing” by a hired killer.

Speaking to IANS, an emotional Mr Hooda said it was all about karma.

The actor said: “While shooting for the Sarabjit biopic, there was always a very tragic feeling that when things were about to be resolved, he would be extradited to India and allowed to return to his family, but he was imprisoned in jail. Murdered.”

Mr. Hooda also attended the last rites of Sarabjit’s sister Dalbir Kaur, who died in 2022.

“I wondered how Dalbir Ji would feel when she heard the news that her attacker had been killed. I’m sure it would have been a sense of justice being served after she fought so hard to hunt him down for so many years,” the actor said .

He said they would call Sarabjit’s daughters soon and chat with them.

“Even through unknown men, karma will catch up,” the actor said.
