The Finance Ministry issued an order on Thursday, stating that public sector banks, insurance companies, financial institutions and regional rural banks will remain closed for half a day on January 22. This decision has been taken regarding Ram temple. Consecration ceremony in Ayodhya. Earlier, the Department of Personnel and Training had issued an order stating that all central government offices, central institutions and central industrial establishments across the country will remain closed for half a day on the day of the Ram Mandir inauguration ceremony.

The order reads, “Central government offices, central institutions and central industrial establishments will remain closed for half a day (till 2:30 pm) on January 22, 2024.”

According to the Finance Ministry notification, the DoPT order allows employees to participate in the Pran Pratistha ceremony. It reads, “It is informed that the order of DoPT (Department of Personnel and Training) in respect of Central Institutions and Central Industrial Establishments is applicable to all Public Sector Banks/Public Sector Insurance Companies/Public Sector Financial Institutions and Regional Rural Banks Will also apply to. To enable the employees to participate in the Ram Lalla Pran Pratishtha ceremony.”

The decision comes after employees across the country requested a day off to attend the function. “Various activities have been planned by organizations and groups of people in India and abroad to coincide with the celebrations,” a government official said.

It is noteworthy that the consecration ceremony of Ram temple is scheduled on January 22 at 12:30 pm. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and various dignitaries will participate in the ceremonies to be held in the holy city of Ayodhya. The celebrations began on January 16 in the temple premises. Lasting for seven days, specific rituals will be conducted each day as part of the preparations for the consecration.

The consecration ceremony is scheduled for Monday. The state government has also arranged for live screening of the ceremony on big screens in public places across India and abroad.
