Federal Territory Lok Sabha polls to be held in five phases

The Indian National Congress (INC) on Saturday announced the list of 27 star activists from Jammu and Kashmir, including party president Mallikarjun Kharge, Sonia Gandhi, Rahul ·Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, etc.

These leaders will campaign for party candidates in Jammu and Kashmir during the Lok Sabha elections scheduled to be held in five phases.

The list of star campaigners for the JK assembly elections was submitted to the Election Commission of India secretary by INC general secretary KC Venugopal.

The list of star activists includes Mallikargjun Kharge, Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Ambika Soni, KC Venugopal, Sachin Pilot, Bharatsingh Solanki, Vikar Rasool Wani, GA Mir, Tariq Hameed Karra, Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, Revanth Reddy and Harish Ra watt.

The list of 27 also includes Pramod Tewari, Pawan Khera, Ranjeet Ranjan, TS Singh Deo, Imran Pratapgarhi, Raj Babbar, Pirzada Mohd Sayeed, Manoj Yadav, Tara Chand, Raman Bhalla, Chowdhary Lal Singh, GN Monga, Shameema Raina and Akash Bhalla special.

The following leaders of the Indian National Congress will campaign for the first and second phases of the 2024 Lok Sabha general elections in Jammu and Kashmir under Section 77 (1) of the Representation of the People Act, 1951.

Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar had earlier said that the assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir will be held soon after the Lok Sabha polls, announcing the dates for the general election and four state polls and 26 assembly by-elections.

Lok Sabha polls in the Union Territories will be held on April 19 (Udhampur), April 26 (Jammu), May 7 (Anantnag-Rajori), May 13 (Sri Naga) and May 20 (Baramulla) are held in five phases.

Counting will begin on June 4.
