Punjab IAS officer's husband arrested on immoral trafficking charges

The man was booked under the Immoral Trafficking (Prevention) Act (Representative)

The husband of an IAS officer was found with a woman in a house in Sarabha Nagar during a raid and has been charged with “immoral trafficking”, police said on Sunday.

A case was booked against the man for violating the Immoral Trafficking (Prevention) Act, they said.

Police raided the home on Friday night after receiving a tip that sex trafficking was taking place there.

The IAS officer has held several senior positions.
