Pro. HC Verma inspired students of NIT Srinagar: Call for scientific investigation beyond the examination

Srinagar, May 06: One of India’s most famous physicists and teachers, HC Verma on Tuesday gave an inspirational address at the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Srinagar and urged them to watch the narrow goals of competitive examinations like JEE and NEET and instead of a loud below scientific investigation.

In his main speech, Prof. Verma emphasized the value of curiosity-manual learning on rotten memorization. He encouraged students to engage deeply with the basic principles of physics and mathematics, requiring fresh and imaginative thinking citing unsolved problems in physics.

“The actual science begins where the textbooks end,” he said, emphasizing the need for innovation and original idea.

Pro. Verma also highlighted the environmental challenges facing the world today. He called the academic community, especially young scientists and engineers to include stability in both research and daily practice.

“The responsible use of water conservation and natural resources should be the main concern in scientific development,” he said.

The session was held at NIT Srinagar Dean Prof. Was done by Ma Shah, who gave the reception address.
