Prince William’s plans for future bring King Charles to tears

Prince William, second in line to the throne, has plans for the future that appear to reassure his cancer-stricken father, King Charles.

The king was moved to tears when his eldest son spoke of his beloved estate, the Duchy of Cornwall.

In a clip from an ITV documentary, Prince Charles: Within the Duchy of Cornwall, William is seen discussing the future of the estate with Mervyn Keeling, a generation farmer.

“I have started thinking about how I will one day inherit the principality and what I will do with it. I think it is very important, from a family perspective, I really do,” William said.

Charles was visibly moved after seeing the footage, saying: “I couldn’t believe it when I saw it.”

He continued, “I was deeply moved and moved by his words. And frankly, it brought me to tears. It really did. Because, it occurred to me, well, just hearing those words from his mouth made me I think the past 50 years have been worthwhile.”

William took over the estate when he became Duke of Cornwall and had begun making plans.

Back in February, William announced plans to build homes on land in the Duchy of Cornwall to tackle homelessness in the south-west of England.
