Prince Harry, who rarely fails to mention his older brother Prince William when recounting his ordeal, shared interesting details about his relationship with the future king during the interview.

The Duke of Sussex’s strained relationship with the Prince of Wales has been widely reported following Harry’s exit from the royal family, but King Charles III’s youngest son claims the relationship is similar to that of his two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

“The gap between me and William is very similar to the gap between Archie and Lily. Seeing Lily obsess over Archie and Archie, it’s like ‘No, no Lily, I need my space, I need my space ‘, now I understand,” Harry told reporters. ITV’s Tom Bradby is gearing up for the 2023 release of Spare.

Harry continued: “I knew how annoyed younger siblings were with older siblings. But in that moment, at the time, I didn’t. I didn’t really understand it, I didn’t really realize it.”

After deciding to step down from senior royal duties in 2020, the duke moved to the United States and is currently enjoying life in Montecito with his wife and children.

Prince Harry’s brotherhood took a huge blow after he decided to speak out about their issues on multiple TV shows and in his memoir, Spare.

Despite family health concerns, hopes of reconciliation between the estranged brothers continue to circulate. There have been rumors that Prince Harry might try to meet Prince William as he heads to the UK in May, but former BBC royal correspondent Jenny Bond has a different take.

“I doubt William ever thought about calling or texting his brother. In the maelstrom of emotion, his heart and mind must have been swallowed up, for someone who cut so deeply into the flesh of a brother they had once been so close to. There couldn’t be any room for any relationship,” Bond wrote in the book independent.
