The UAE has over 3.8 million Indian expatriates and is the country with the fourth largest number of Indians abroad.

The Indian Embassy later said in a statement that envoys were in awe of the temple’s unique architecture, intricate patterns and the message of unity, peace and harmony it conveyed.

Modi’s visit will further demonstrate the close ties between India and the UAE. This will be Modi’s seventh visit to the UAE as Prime Minister. Last December, he traveled to Dubai for a day to attend the COP28 summit. In January this year, UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan attended India’s vibrant Gujarat summit as the chief guest, and the two leaders also held a roadshow in Ahmedabad. In 2015, Prime Minister Modi became the first Indian Prime Minister to visit the UAE since Indira Gandhi in the 1980s. UAE President Modi has visited India four times so far during his tenure.
