After the grand Pran Pratishthan ceremony at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, all eyes are on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s two-day visit to Abu Dhabi this month to attend his biggest event in the UAE community events, as well as his attendance at the grand opening of the BAPS Hindu Temple in Abu Dhabi.

More than 50,000 Indian expatriates have signed up to attend the ‘Ahlan Modi 2024’ community event in Abu Dhabi on the evening of February 13. The event will be held at Zayed Sports City Stadium, where Prime Minister Modi will address the Indian diaspora. News18 learned that people from all over the UAE came to Abu Dhabi to attend the Prime Minister’s event and we also arranged free transportation for them. The UAE has over 3.8 million Indian expatriates and is the country with the fourth largest number of Indians abroad.

On February 14, Prime Minister Modi and His Holiness Mahant Swami Maharaj will inaugurate the magnificent BAPS Hindu Temple in Abu Dhabi, a landmark 27-acre temple. Last week, on January 29, India invited ambassadors from 42 countries to visit the temple, with Indian Ambassador to the UAE Sunjay Sudhir hosting diplomatic corps from around the world for a special visit. The Indian Embassy later said in a statement that envoys were in awe of the temple’s unique architecture, intricate patterns and the message of unity, peace and harmony it conveyed.

Modi’s visit will further demonstrate the close ties between India and the UAE. This will be Modi’s seventh visit to the UAE as Prime Minister. Last December, he traveled to Dubai for a day to attend the COP28 summit. In January this year, UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan attended India’s vibrant Gujarat summit as the chief guest, and the two leaders also held a roadshow in Ahmedabad. In 2015, Prime Minister Modi became the first Indian Prime Minister to visit the UAE since Indira Gandhi in the 1980s. UAE President Modi has visited India four times so far during his tenure.
