Adult content companies Pornhub, Stripchat and XVideos will have to write risk assessment reports and take steps to address systemic risks associated with their services to comply with new European Union (EU) online content rules, the European Commission said on Friday.

The EU executive said Pornhub and Stripchat must comply with DSA obligations on April 21, and XVideos must comply with the strictest obligations on April 23.

“These specific obligations include submitting risk assessment reports to the committee and implementing mitigation measures to address systemic risks associated with the provision of services,” it said in a statement.

The companies must also meet additional transparency obligations, including those related to advertising, and provide researchers with access to data.

Companies that violate DSA regulations face fines of up to 6% of their global annual turnover.
