Police investigate Tory donor’s alleged racist comments about Diane Abbott

Police are investigating alleged racist comments made by major Tory donor Frank Hester towards Diane Abbott.

A spokesman for West Yorkshire Police said officers were “working hard to establish the facts and ultimately determine whether a crime has been committed”.

On March 11, London police were contacted for a report in The Guardian.

The comments were allegedly made at a conference in 2019.
