Police searching for a missing woman have discovered a body after her car was last seen on a bridge at a popular attraction.

Police called off the arrest of Molly Ann Garbutt, 25, of Leeds, after her body was believed to have been found at around 3.15pm on Wednesday. Hunt.

West Yorkshire Police launched an emergency appeal for information after Ms Garbutt’s black Renault Clio was spotted parked on the B6265 near Hebden Dibbles Bridge at around 8am.

North Yorkshire Police then searched the surrounding area in an attempt to locate Ms Garbutt.

RAF Mountain Rescue, Upper Wharfdale Mountain Rescue Association and a HM Coastguard helicopter joined the search.

While formal identification has yet to take place, Ms Garbutt’s family have been informed of the discovery and have received support from officers.

Police asked that their privacy be respected while the post-mortem report is prepared.
