Ranchi:

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday virtually inaugurated the Lighthouse Project (LHP) in Ranchi’s Durwar district.

Municipal Administration Director Aditya Kumar Anand said that under a project in Ranchi, 10 beneficiaries were given house keys as token distribution.

He said the beneficiaries of all residential units will be provided housing in a phased manner in April.

The Prime Minister laid the cornerstone of the project through video conferencing on January 1, 2021.

Under the LHP, as many as 1,008 affordable houses were built for the poor and middle class. Each apartment has approximately 315 square feet of carpet area.

The Ranchi Municipal Corporation (RMC) has shortlisted the beneficiaries through a lottery system, an official said.

The project, spread over an area of ​​7.5 acres, uses an innovative construction technology called ‘NAVARITIH’ (New, Affordable, Proven Research-Innovative Technologies for Indian Housing) at a cost of Rs 134 crore.
