The National Democratic Alliance’s (NDA) rally ‘Prajagalam’, a joint public meeting of NDA partners in Parnadu district of Andhra Pradesh, was briefly interrupted on Sunday evening as a group of people climbed to the top of a lighthouse to listen to the leader’s speech Interrupt.

The Bharatiya Janata Party has formed an alliance with the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and the Janata Dal (JSP) for the upcoming Lok Sabha and Assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh.

The Jana Sena is contesting the general elections in Andhra Pradesh in alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Telugu Desam Party (TDP). According to the seat-sharing agreement, the PPP will contest 6 Lok Sabha seats and 10 Assembly seats, while the People’s Democratic Party will contest 17 seats and 144 Assembly seats. Janasena will contest two Lok Sabha seats and 21 parliamentary seats.

The Election Commission of India on Saturday announced the dates for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections across the country.

According to the Election Commission announcement, Andhra Pradesh will hold elections in 25 constituencies on May 13. Elections in the coastal state will be held in just one phase.

A total of 968 million voters will be eligible to vote in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
