Paris Jackson, Michael Jackson’s only daughter, is candidly telling her story in her music.
The 26-year-old singer/model appeared on the latest episode of the Jade Iovine Podcast bed life and unveiled her highly anticipated new music, via People Magazine.
Jackson said fans can expect her to be candid about her life in her music, which may even be “hard to hear for some people.”
When asked what was the hardest thing she’s ever sung or written, Jackson admitted that the process itself wasn’t challenging because “it’s my story.”
“I mean, would some of it be difficult for some people to listen to? Of course, yes, because I’m talking about a lot of sensitive things,” she said. “Some people may have a hard time.”
Jackson also clarified that “the public,” not her friends, would be most susceptible to the material.
“All my close friends know my story,” she added. “I’m an open book to all my friends.”
When talking about the inspiration behind her songs, Jackson shared that all “inspiration tends to come from the same place,” citing “pain, heartbreak, or loneliness.”
