Parineeti Chopra recently announced that she will pursue a full-fledged music career alongside her acting career. She has also performed live recently and her singing has been appreciated by many fans. On the acting front, she will soon be seen in Imtiaz Ali’s “Chamkila” alongside Diljit Dosanjh. She recently revealed that one of the reasons she signed on for the film was because she would be singing nearly 15 songs for its album.
In a recent interview with ETimes, Parineeti Chopra said, “One of the main reasons why I did this film was that I had to sing about 15 songs for it. It was in this film that My partner Diljit heard me singing and told me to perform live. Everyone around me always reminded me that I could be on stage.”
Parineeti Chopra has previously sung in two of her films. She sang Maana Ke Hum Yaar Nahi in Meri Pyaari Bindu and Teri Mitti in Kesari. She will now sing nearly 15 songs for director Imtiaz Ali. The film’s music direction will be handled by AR Rahman, who is collaborating with director Imtiaz Ali for the fourth time.
Parineeti also talked about juggling two careers and her new marriage. “I want to have two careers at the same time. It’s an exciting challenge. I’m going to work hard. I’m getting into the role of a musician and learning more about the world of concerts. I don’t want to ruin it by overthinking it . I just have to juggle it. Personally, I have a different mentality than other actors. All of that is just a part of my life, not the whole of my life. My family, friends, vacations, scuba diving, music , husband, career and health are all important and equal in my life,” she said.
