Panipuri seller turns matchmaker, sparks hilarity in online thread

This experience made the Panipuri seller very upset.

A social media thread in India has gone viral after a woman shared a hilarious encounter with a panipuri seller who was pressured by customers to find a groom for his daughter.

The woman, identified as @prakritea17 on the platform ‘X’, narrated how she saw a group of women having a serious conversation with the seller. As they leave, the salesman begins to express his disappointment at her, and reveals that the woman had requested that he find a suitable groom among her customers.

Surprisingly, the vendor took their request seriously and identified a regular customer, a well-paid software engineer, as a potential partner. However, the situation turned ridiculous when the women were adamant on finding a different groom.

They also suggested the salesperson to check the customer’s details, highlighting their determination to find a specific match. This incident upset the seller, and he expressed his irritation at being pressured into matchmaking with such specific criteria.

This experience left the seller very upset; She felt pressured to inquire about marriage, but faced rejection because of the possibilities it presented.

“And he started saying, ‘Agar kal bhi akar puchne lag gaye toh main puch longa pani puri wala kyu nahi chalega’ (If they start harassing me again tomorrow, I will ask them why the Panipuri vendor is not nice to them).”

One user commented, “You can suggest that Panipuri seller charges 2 thousand to find a groom and charges 20 thousand if the suggested groom actually becomes the husband.”

Another user wrote, “Ok, thanks for the idea. I was trying to find a way to ask out a girl who frequents the cart.”
