Imagine being one of those in the world who asks to chat with President Trump and sometimes ask for advice.
That bill is o’reli.
Both have been friends for decades, and Bill O’Selli recently explained more about that relationship and a call recently.
Bill O’reli: Okay. Therefore, President Trump does not really give you a head when he is going to call. Last night he called me before 30 seconds, when the Kuoomo news should be set to start the hit. I said, “Mr. President, I am going on TV in 30 seconds. Can I return you?” You know. He goes, “Yes, yes, yes, yes.” Ok.
So I did not meet him last night. They called me this morning, and first thing, as I mentioned on top of the program, was about his health and how he is doing, because you know, he is my friend. What am I going to ask about him – first myself? And then he asked me.
Remember, I do not do voluntary things. I do not call the President. I had to call him back because he was etiquette, but I don’t call him and don’t bother him, and I don’t talk to him until he asks me. My job is, I am still a journalist here, but when President Obama asked me the goods, I responded honestly.
When George Bush asked me the goods, I honestly responded. Biden never asked me anything. So the first thing was China. China’s large, and I have the best sources in China in American media so far. I do not have any sources in Beijing.
And I told them what was going on behind the curtain there. I can’t divide it, but it was, “This is where they are. It is what they want.” I believe that the President will visit China in the decline. I hope he does. But there is an inauguration.
When it comes to Russia, I do not know anything. I have no contact. This is driving me crazy. Everyone in Russia is so nervous that they are poison or shot or thrown out of a window.
I can’t find anything. I know everything in China. I am not in Russia. I’m trying.
And then we talked about Epstein. I gave my view to the President how to handle it. I told you too much: “Don’t talk about it. Bandy, justice department, explain in a methodical way, and what is going on.” But then, you know, I went to Trump’s wedding with Marla Maples, and Epstein was at that wedding. I did not know him.
I did not know who he was. There were many people at the wedding. But when you know the history of New York City and all these people have connected all these rich people among themselves, then you understand. I was not rich.
Trump liked me. Comic relief, I think. But I understand culture.
And just because you knew that anyone did not mean that you were associated with some kind of nefarious activity. Come on, it’s just crazy. So I gave him – you know – my view. I said, “This is the same.” And he told me, “Boy, I did not send that card and I did not do it.”
Ok. Ok. The man never lied to me.
