Indian CEO of a US-based multinational software company, Sanjay Shah died in an accident During the air show of the silver jubilee celebrations of his venture at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad. A video of the incident showed the exact moment when the iron cage hanging in the air fell due to some obstruction.

Founder Sanjay Shah, 56, and his colleague Westex Asia Chairman Vishwanath Raj Datla, 52, entered an iron cage that was to be lowered from a height during an air show. However, the iron chain supporting the cage broke on one side, causing both of them to fall to the ground.

While Shah suffered injuries on his leg and hand, Datla suffered serious head injuries.

According to Abdullapurmet Inspector A Manmohan, the two-day event was scheduled at Ramoji Film City to mark Westex Asia’s successful 25 years in the industry.

One of the highlights of the event was an aerial show which attracted about 700 people To watch on Thursday evening at around 7:40 pm.

The falling structure directly affected Sanjay Shah and Vishwanath Raj Datla, who were immediately rushed to Maxi Cure Hospital and later to Yashoda Hospital in Malakpet for advanced medical treatment.

Shah died in the hospital early Friday. Datla, on the other hand, remains critical and is receiving intensive medical care.

According to news agency PTI report, a case has been registered against Film City Event Management officials based on the complaint of another company official.
